Chaos;Child is the sequel to Chaos;Head, with the story dealing with the aftermath of the events in Chaos;Head. It is also part of the SciADV series just like Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes.
Dies irae is one of the visual novels that is quite highly regarded in English speaking circles despite not having any English translation available yet. (Although there is an English translation being currently worked on so hopefully that changes soon.)
Akatsuki no Goei ~Tsumibukaki Shuumatsuron~ is the direct sequel of the original Akatsuki no Goei, with a more focused plot building off the setting and all the foreshadowing in the previous 2 games.
Akatsuki no Goei is set in near future Japan in a world which is dangerous enough to warrant having a prestigious school exclusively for training bodyguards.
If you ever read the English release of Koihime † Musou (or any of the other visual novels in the series) then you’ll already have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Sengoku † Koihime.
Shuffle! was the first game to be released by visual novel company Navel. It was apparently popular enough to have 2 full length fandisk/sequels, a few shorter releases with short scenarios featuring characters from the franchise, and most importantly a remake containing a considerable amount of additional content.
