12 Days of Anime 2022 – Day 11: Muv-Luv Alternative
Muv-Luv Alternative is the story that started it all. It’s slightly complicated, but a visual novel called Muv-Luv was released in 2003 and at first glance it was just a typical comedy slice-of-life story.
What makes Muv-Luv unique and possibly why it still has so many fans both in Japan and overseas is that it pulls of a genre shift. For the first half, it actually is exactly what it appears to be, but later it completely changes into something else. All of a sudden, the protagonist and all the other characters are now enlisted in the military and are training to fight and defend against alien invaders called BETA.Read the rest of this entry

Kaginado is an anime which parodies all of the major KEY works (Kanon, Air, Clannad, Little Busters!, Rewrite, Planetarian, Angel Beats).

Reasons contributing to Yojouhan Time Machine Blues not having many viewers yet is easy to imagine.
- It is a sequel.
- Content-wise as well as visually it isn’t very anime-like.
- As far as I know it is currently only available on Disney+/Hulu.
